Enjoy this wonderful musical celebration of the holidays, featuring creative arrangements of Christmas favorites old and new, Hanukkah tunes, and a meaningful tribute to Kwanzaa with the African-music inspired Today is the Gift. Alto Saxophonist Amara Lucci is featured on a delightful version of The Christmas Song, followed by her section-mate Andy Wilds playing The Flight of the Christmas Sleigh (a holiday take on Rimsky-Korsakov's similarly-titled song about Bumblebee flight). No Holiday performance is complete, of course, without Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride! Also included, the festive cocktail hour prior to the concert and the amazing desserts and coffee afterwards. All proceeds will benefit St. John of Damascus, our rehearsal home. Tickets may be purchased in advance, online at www.stjohnd.org/pops or at the door on the night of the concert. Please check our website for any updates in case of a COVID spike. Dedham Cable TV will also record the concert for you to view at home as they did so successfully last season. Happy Holidays!
