We started the concert season with “firsts” and end with another first—a world premiere by John Mackey! Join us for an exciting afternoon as we perform this new work, which is sure to become an instant classic. We’ll also explore some pieces that have already earned a place in the band canon, including Arnold Schoenberg’s Theme and Variations, Op. 43a, his first and only original work for band. MetWinds will be joined by talented middle- and high-school students for the second half of the program.
